Biography

Adrienne Davis is one of our Clinical Coordinators in the Speech-Language Pathology program. Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. She then came to Columbia and completed the Master's of Speech Pathology program at the University of South Carolina. Adrienne has practiced in a variety of settings, including acute care, home health, early intervention, as well as outpatient and long-term acute rehab.  She has had opportunities to diagnose and treat a variety of disorders; however, she has a special interest in those related to feeding and swallowing. Adrienne specializes in working with adult dysphagia resulting from a host of etiologies, as well as has an interest in pediatric feeding and swallowing.  

Ms. Davis has also demonstrated an interest in advocacy for the speech-language pathology profession and actively participates as the former Vice President of Government Affairs and current President-Elect of the South Carolina Speech and Hearing Association. Mrs. Davis currently lives in Irmo with her husband and daughter. She enjoys travelling, volunteering at her church, Right Direction Church International, and spending time with her family.
